Performance Carts is looking for an Assembly Technician who takes pride in accurate work and enjoys turning individual parts and components into high-quality finished products.
We design and manufacture premium carts and equipment for customers including Walt Disney World, Michigan State University, Indiana University, the University of North Alabama, Windish Entertainment, and organizations across the country.
What You’ll Do
- Assemble carts, parts, hardware, and related components according to specifications, work instructions, and company quality standards
- Use hand tools, jigs, power tools, and other assembly equipment safely and correctly
- Fit and align components so finished products operate properly and have a clean, professional appearance
- Perform visual and functional quality checks throughout the assembly process
- Identify and report missing materials, damaged parts, or assembly problems
- Correct minor assembly issues and communicate larger problems to the appropriate supervisor
- Keep tools, materials, and the assembly area clean and organized
- Complete work accurately, consistently, and at a productive pace
What We’re Looking For
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn how our products function and how components fit together
- Ability to follow work instructions, and established assembly processes
- Experience using common hand tools and basic power tools safely and accurately
- Attention to detail and the ability to inspect your own work
- Dependability and the ability to maintain a consistent work schedule
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to the team
- Willingness to receive feedback, learn new processes, and continue improving
Previous manufacturing, product assembly, mechanical, construction, automotive, or similar hands-on experience is preferred but not required. We care more about practical ability, dependability, and quality of work than a specific number of years of experience.
