Overview

Duties
- Safely operate different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Follow planned routes diligently, adjusting for traffic or weather conditions to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates or delivery issues.
- Ensure all freight is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with 2 years minimum experience required
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery route driving and freight handling.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and operating refrigerated trailers or flatbeds is preferred.
- Ability to load & unload cargo safely using equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to driving large vehicles and transporting hazardous or sensitive freight.
- Experience with different truck types including dump trucks and tanker trucks is a plus.
