Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced <PERSON>/Supervisor to lead construction projects with enthusiasm and precision. This role is vital in overseeing daily operations on-site, managing teams, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project schedules. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety regulations.
- Manage and direct construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to optimize productivity and quality.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to ensure accurate implementation of project specifications.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other tools to plan, monitor, and update project schedules and budgets.
- Oversee construction safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards and federal safety regulations; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Coordinate construction schedules with project stakeholders to ensure timely completion of milestones; manage project timelines using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools.
- Review contracts, change orders, and construction estimates; assist in budgeting and cost control efforts.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify work meets industry standards and client expectations; manage construction site safety and enforce OSHA regulations.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately; oversee blueprint reading sessions for team members when necessary.
- Lead regular management meetings to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions; foster effective management practices within the team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing commercial or heavy civil construction projects with a focus on supervision or management roles.
- Strong knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera P3, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret construction plans effectively.
- Extensive construction site experience with a solid understanding of safety regulations such as OSHA standards and federal construction safety laws.
- Skilled in managing teams in a fast-paced environment; excellent crew management skills with supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling techniques including project scheduling using Primavera P6 or similar programs.
- Knowledge of contracts administration, change order processing, budgeting, and cost estimation processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly with management teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures and construction regulations applicable to commercial projects.
- Experience supervising multiple crews on large-scale projects; adept at managing timelines while maintaining safety standards.
