Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent in-person customer service
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to food safety sanitizing procedures
- Follow proper food handling and safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, dishwashers, and POS (Point of Sale) systems for processing transactions
- Support catering and banquet events by setting up, serving, and clearing food stations as needed
- Handle weight-based tasks such as portioning ingredients or serving sizes accurately using basic math skills
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, catering, or culinary environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures is essential
- Experience with fine dining or banquet service is a plus
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on in-person interaction
- Familiarity with POS systems and processing cash transactions preferred
- Basic math skills for accurate portioning and transaction handling
- Food industry experience including dietary aide or catering roles is advantageous
- Must be able to handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy trays or boxes safely and responsibly
