Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our educational team. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging curriculum, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting the growth and development of each child in your care. This role requires creativity, patience, and a deep understanding of child development principles.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with educational standards.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective classroom management techniques.
- Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of best practices in education.
- Supervise assistant teachers or aides, providing guidance and support as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in daycare or early childhood education settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other progressive educational philosophies is a plus.
- Experience in teaching physical education or providing tutoring services is beneficial.
- Knowledge of curriculum development tailored for toddlers and young children is essential.
- Strong skills in classroom management, with the ability to create an engaging learning atmosphere.
- Experience working with children requiring special education services or early intervention programs is highly valued.
