Restaurant Food Runner – High-End Steakhouse
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Pay: Competitive hourly wage + tip share
We are looking for a professional, energetic, and detail-oriented Food Runner to join our team at a high-end steakhouse. The Food Runner plays an important role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by ensuring food is delivered to guests promptly, accurately, and with the highest level of service.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct table quickly and accurately
- Ensure all dishes are presented properly and meet the restaurant's standards before leaving the kitchen
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Confirm table numbers and food orders before delivering dishes
- Describe or identify dishes when presenting food to guests when appropriate
- Assist servers with clearing and resetting tables as needed
- Monitor tables and assist guests with additional requests when appropriate
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen pass, service areas, and dining room
- Assist with stocking plates, silverware, glassware, and other service supplies
- Work closely with servers, bussers, chefs, and management as part of a cohesive service team
- Maintain a professional appearance and a positive, hospitality-focused attitude
- Follow all restaurant cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to carry multiple plates safely and comfortably
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-end restaurant environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
