Job Title: Sanitation Manager (Kitchen) Distribiution Center
Reports to: Kitchen/Cheese QA Manager
Job Purpose: To utilize sanitation knowledge and skills to lead sanitation team members. Will achieve and maintain a clean orderly and sanitized production facility assuring all equipment has been cleaned to ensure food safety and quality. Will document and verify all tasks are completed according to Master Sanitation schedule (11.2.13.8.a)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the following is completed, documented and maintained according to the Master
Sanitation Schedule:
- Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness of all production areas while working alongside the team to accomplish a clean orderly and sanitized production facility.
- Assuring all equipment has been cleaned to ensure food safety and quality.
- Ensure all areas, aisles, break areas, bathrooms and offices are organized, clean, free of debris, and in good working condition.
- Participates in monitoring sanitation deficiencies and correcting them.
- Participate and follow daily departmental start-up meetings. Attention to detail and continual process improvement. Meet or exceed expectations set by QA Supervisor.
- Ensure all safety policies are followed and required chemical training is completed and followed per instructions.
- Work closely with other sanitation team members to insure that sanitation quality and standards are maintained and communicated to team.
- Control In-house equipment damage costs through associate awareness and discipline.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including verification of all required documentation as per the Sanitation SOP (11.2.13.8.a)
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend procedure manuals for chemical mixing and cleaning procedures. Ability to communicate effectively and lead others in the workplace. . Ability to communicate effectively with related departments and Managerial staff.
Mathematical Skills
- Basic ability to calculate figures such as chemical concentrations and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
Reasoning Ability
- Basic ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

- Able to work in spaces with 72 inches of headroom.
- This is a refrigerated working environment with inside controlled temperatures of 32 to 36 degrees Fahrenheit and inside ambient temperatures (including heat and cold)
- Requires tolerance of standing posture up to 2 hours, over an 8-hour shift
- Occasionally work overtime, evenings, or weekends in order to complete work.
Minimal Requirements:
- Has worked as a Kitchen Sanitation Manager for a minimum of two years.
- High school diploma or equivalent and relevant certifications
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
- Ability to work varied schedule including weekend and early morning shifts
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to pay close attention to detail, meets deadlines, and work with difficult individuals or task

Pay: $52,500.00 per year
