Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Addiction Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of addiction medicine and be committed to providing support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic interventions to promote recovery and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations of clients to determine their needs and appropriate treatment options.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on client assessments, incorporating evidence-based practices in addiction counseling.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to clients, focusing on addiction recovery and related mental health issues.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in data collection and analysis to track client progress and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care, including referrals for additional services when necessary.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and support groups for clients and their families.
- Educate clients about addiction, coping strategies, and resources available for support in the community.
- Provide home community care as needed, ensuring clients receive the support they require in their environment.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Valid licensure or certification as an addiction counselor or equivalent credentialing.
- Experience in child family counseling is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding for diagnostic purposes is a plus.
- Strong understanding of addiction counseling principles and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Familiarity with data collection methods related to patient care outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in counseling practice.

This position starts as part time contract and as we grow, has the oppertunity to be full-time. We are a small telehealth Addiction Treatment Program looking for an experienced professional to help run and facilitate our IOP Program.
Pay: $30.05 - $50.00 per hour
