About Bedrock
Bedrock Restoration is a growing water, fire, and mold mitigation company serving the Twin Cities and the surrounding metro. We show up for property owners on the worst day they have had, and we make it right. We move fast, document thoroughly, and hold ourselves to a high standard in every job. As we scale, we are building a team of sharp, dependable people who take pride in doing the work the right way.
The Role
This role is built for someone who already has reconstruction experience and wants to learn the mitigation side. We are looking for an estimator who can turn field conditions into accurate, defensible estimates that get approved and paid. You will be the link between our field crews, our customers, and the carriers. If you know Xactimate, understand water and fire mitigation scopes, and like the mix of being in the field and at the keyboard, this is a strong fit.
What You Will Do
- Conduct site inspections for water, fire, and mold losses and capture accurate scope, moisture readings, and photo documentation
- Build and submit Xactimate estimates that reflect the actual work and align with carrier expectations
- Transfer daily field reports and documentation efficiently so every job is clean and complete from day one
- Work closely with field crews, project managers, and adjusters to keep jobs moving and approvals on track
- Track scope changes, change orders, and supplements while keeping estimates current as conditions evolve and ensuring everything is entered in our system
- Support accurate revenue capture by tying labor, equipment, and materials to the right line items
- Help us sharpen our estimating process as we grow
- Create and repair estimates as needed to keep jobs moving forward Collaborate and meet with subcontractors on site for repair estimates
What We Are Looking For
- Hands on experience in reconstruction estimating with a desire to learn mitigation estimating
- Experience working with insurance adjusters and settling estimates Proficiency in Xactimate (current certification is a plus)
- Strong working knowledge of water, fire, and mold mitigation scopes and the IICRC standards behind them
- Comfort with field documentation tools and a habit of thorough, organized record keeping
- Clear communicator who can hold productive conversations with crews, customers, and adjusters
- Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to manage several active jobs at once
- Valid driver license and reliable transportation for site visits Ability to work remotely as needed
- Team player mindset
- Proactive
- Zero ego
