Summary : Acts as primary interface between office site, drivers, and maintenance by performing the following duties. Immediate opening for one part-time and one full-time Dispatcher. Full-time position is a 3pm-11pm shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Assigns vehicles to runs, and drivers to vehicles.
· Enters/updates vehicle information such as: odometer readings, time/mileage from departure to first pick-up, and time/mileage from last drop-off to pull-in.
· Oversees driver/service efficiency (slack time and breaks) and watches form any noticeable abnormalities in schedules and events.
· Notifies drivers and CSRs of rider cancellations or changes.
· May require scheduling of substitute drivers.
· Enters no-shows, etc. for riders.
· Coordinates with Scheduler, Drivers, etc. as appropriate for noticeable errors or changes.
· Maintains real-time watch on system and system events.
· Coordinates with drivers for any changes in routes, schedule, etc.
· Performs/acknowledges events in real-time per policy.
· Communicates with drivers for status checks per policy.
· Enters/updates needed information after-the-fact as appropriate.
· Issues keys to drivers on a first come first served basis.
· Schedules time for drivers to clean the fleet.
· Directs activities of drivers by two-way radio.
· Enters data in customized software to maintain record of mileage, fuel used, repairs made, and other expenses.
· Checks out driver by: handling paperwork, counting money, ringing till and counting tickets at the end of drivers’ shift.

Education and/or Experience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), prefer post high school education; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience should include professional driving experience in Midland County.
Language Skills :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to read and interpret Midland County map and surrounding counties.
Computer Skills :
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
