American Traveler is seeking an experienced Psychiatric/Behavioral Health RN for a float pool position requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience, including experience in a psych or behavioral health setting.

Float pool position covering all 19 inpatient behavioral health units
-
Patient populations include children, adolescents, and adults across inpatient psychiatric units
-
Located within a dedicated psychiatric hospital with 337 staffed beds
-
Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating across units is expected as a core function of this role
-
No on-call requirements
-
Charting performed in Sunrise EMR
-
Free employee parking available throughout the campus

Active MD or Compact RN license required
-
BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
-
At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting required

Strong clinical judgment, patient assessment, delegation, and leadership skills required

Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Two professional references required for consideration

Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland prior to start

Float nurses serve as the more experienced clinical staff across all inpatient units, requiring adaptability and independent clinical decision-making

RNs may be assigned charge nurse responsibilities during a shift
