Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management to ensure an outstanding guest experience.
- Lead and supervise team members across various departments, including kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, and support personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
- Manage inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste; utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales tracking and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, health regulations, and sanitation procedures to uphold the highest quality standards.
- Conduct staff training and development initiatives to enhance skills in food handling, customer service, kitchen management, and food production.
- Handle budgeting responsibilities including cost control, labor management, and financial reporting to maximize profitability.
- Oversee shift management to ensure smooth transitions between busy periods while maintaining excellent service standards.
- Implement effective cash handling procedures and oversee daily financial reconciliation activities.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that promotes guest satisfaction through attentive service and culinary excellence.
Skills
- Extensive experience in restaurant management with a strong background in food industry operations including quick service & fast food restaurants, casual dining, fine dining, or hotel environments.
- Proven supervisory experience with skills in team management, staff training & development, interviewing potential team members, and leadership in high-pressure settings.
- Deep understanding of food preparation techniques, culinary processes, and food safety protocols; familiarity with food handling standards is essential.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and inventory tracking.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management including food production, catering services, bar operations, and banquet experience if applicable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally while maintaining positive relationships.
- Competence in managing budgets, controlling costs, conducting shift management efficiently, and supervising food & beverage operations.
- Ability to lead by example in hospitality management practices while fostering a vibrant team environment focused on continuous improvement.
