Position Summary
Changing the Spectrum is seeking compassionate, energetic, and dependable Behavior Technicians (BTs) to join our growing ABA therapy team. Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), implementing individualized treatment plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping children develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills while making a meaningful impact on families in our community.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs.
- Collect accurate session data and document client progress.
- Complete daily session notes and required documentation in a timely manner.
- Maintain professionalism while interacting with clients, families, and team members.
- Follow all behavior intervention plans and clinic procedures.
- Assist clients with communication, play, social skills, self-help, and behavior reduction goals.
- Participate in supervision meetings, competency assessments, and ongoing training.
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
- Collaborate with BCBAs and fellow team members to support client success.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 20 years of age.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification (if required).
- Ability to obtain and maintain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within the required training period.
Preferred
- Experience working with children.
- Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder or special needs.
- College coursework in Psychology, Education, Child Development, or a related field.

Training
Changing the Spectrum provides comprehensive training for Behavior Technicians pursuing RBT certification. Training includes:
- RBT coursework
- Clinical observation and shadowing
- Hands-on client training
- BCBA supervision
- Competency assessment preparation
- Ongoing professional development
