The Surgical Technician assists in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established Federal, State and accreditation standards and center policies and procedures. Assists the nurses and physicians in delivering the highest standard of patient care available. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in an ophthalmology operating room as well as familiarity with surgical equipment. CPR certification preferred.
Surgery days in our center are Wednesdays and 1-2 Mondays per month. Opportunites for additional days for the right candidate.
**PLEASE NOTE** Staff employed to practice surgical technology must meet one of the following requirements.
1. Current Certified Surgical Technician
OR
2. Verifiable employment history as a Surgical Technician between 12/27/2018 and 12/27/2020
OR
3. New graduate of an accredited program eligible to sit for the CST exam. Certification must be received within 6 months of hire date.
