We are recruiting fellow bird nerds to join our team of talented and dedicated Certified Bird Feeding Experts at our Wild Birds Unlimited store in Fayetteville, NY.
Part-Time 15-25 hours per week
So what exactly does a Certified Bird Feeding Specialist do? You will be working directly with customers to determine their backyard birding needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions. To be successful as a Certified Bird Feeding Specialist, you should stay up-to-date with product features, nature happenings, and maintain our store’s visual appearance to our high standards. Ultimately, the duties of a Certified Bird Feeding Specialist are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals while bringing joy into our guests lives.
Responsibilities
- Make our guests smile and understand that a High-Energy experience is our number one priority.
- Completes all OWL training modules as part of High-Energy Training
- Listen to customers' needs and provide information on product features and benefits
- Recommend new products and solutions that will enhance the bird feeding experience
- Process POS (point of sale) purchases according to company standards of accuracy and completeness
- Handle returns of merchandise
- Build relationships with customers
- Comply with inventory control procedures
- Participates in daily housekeeping tasks and maintains a neat work environment
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales associate, Sales representative or similar role
- Demonstrates a positive, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor
- Proficiency in English
- Basic Math skills
- Hands-on experience with POS transactions
- High school degree
