Responsibilities and Authority:
- Change molds per daily production schedule.
- Ensure previous mold/process setup binder is removed from press and put into the Setup Binder Cabinet. Only one binder should be at press.
- Assist with the tracking changeover times as instructed.
- Change molds in the time allotted in IQMS.
- Tag molds as required (red, brown, green, etc).
- Assist Process Technicians and Material Handlers when not actively changing molds.
- Communicate between shifts to ensure a smooth turnover.
- Immediately notify the Manufacturing Manager or Plant Manager of any problems.
- Assist in the implementation of new equipment, processes and projects.
- Have flexibility to complete projects assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
- Perform End of run mold PMs and assist in Tooling Shop.
- Assist with minor maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure that the requirements of TS 16949 are met within assigned areas of responsibility.
- These responsibilities are flexible and may change as needed.
Qualifications
- Must have experience setting molds in plastic injection presses
- Must have fork lift experience
- Must have overhead crane experience
- Must be able to follow watering diagrams when installing injection tool
- Must be able to work extended shifts when production needs require
- Must be coachable
- Must be detail oriented
- Must have mechanical background
- Not afraid to get dirty
- Experience hooking up auxiliary gas units for gas assist molding a plus
- Experience hooking up hydraulic valve gate power packs a plus
- Processing experience a big plus
- Valid Driver’s License
- Mold setting experience is preferred but not required
- Forklift training
- Good communication skills
- Over head crane training
- On-the-Job training.
- Own Tools
- Available to work weekends

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
