Duties
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of farm machinery, including tractors, equipment repair, welding, and irrigation systems to ensure smooth daily activities.
- Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, planting, harvesting, and future hoop house/greenhouse work to support crop growth and farm productivity.
- Maintain safety standards in all production activities by following proper procedures for equipment use and handling hazardous materials.
- Contribute to soil health initiatives by participating in composting, cover cropping, and other practices aligned with regenerative principles.
- Assist with general farm maintenance including hand tool use, equipment upkeep, minor repairs, and troubleshooting mechanical issues with farm machinery.
- Support irrigation systems and horticultural activities to optimize water use and plant growth in outdoor fields and future hoop house/greenhouses.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in farming would be helpful, but a willingness to learn in a new agriculture environment
- Desire to participate in research and development for regenerative practices
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as agricultural tractors, forklifts, or other machinery safely and efficiently; is a plus.
- Strong outdoor work experience with physical stamina for manual handling tasks like heavy lifting and long hours of outdoor activity.
- Familiarity with safety standards in agricultural production environments; knowledge of irrigation systems and horticulture practices is advantageous.

Pay: $17.40 per hour
