THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role focuses on providing medical leadership and ensuring high-quality health care for individuals living at Selinsgrove Center. The work includes direct medical care, staff supervision, and coordination of services across multiple disciplines. As a Supervisory Physician, you will perform the following duties:
- Medical Leadership: Oversee the delivery of medical services and guide clinical decisions for individuals receiving care
- Staff Supervision: Direct and evaluate physicians and other health care professionals to ensure effective and consistent medical coverage
- Clinical Care: Examine individuals, diagnose health conditions, and provide or direct appropriate treatment and follow up
- Service Coordination: Work with psychiatric, dental, nursing, and outside medical providers to support comprehensive care plans
- Policy Guidance: Interpret medical standards, regulations, and organizational goals for staff and contribute to policy development
- Record Oversight: Review documentation, diagnostic results, and treatment records to maintain accuracy and compliance
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 1st shift (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM), with rotating on-call hours, and a 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime: As needed
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Staff Physician 2 or as a Physician Specialist (all specialties) (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation with a degree of Doctor of medicine or osteopathy from a medical school approved or recognized by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine or the Pennsylvania State Board of Osteopathic Medicine and completion of an approved U.S. residency-training program in the allopathic medical specialty of family practice, general practice, internal medicine or occupational medicine; and
- Successful completion of 50 hours of continuing medical education approved by the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association in the previous 12 months; and
- Four years of post-residency experience in the practice of medicine, of which one of the last three years must have included one full year in an administrative, consultative or supervisory capacity over physicians assigned a direct primary care caseload, supplemented by successful completion of 75 hours of post graduate education or training in health services administration or related management topics within the last five years; and
- Board Certification by the American Boards of Medical Specialists or the American Osteopathic Medical Specialist Boards, as appropriate in family practice, general practice, internal medicine or occupational medicine.
Special Requirements:
- You must be in possession of a current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine or the Pennsylvania State Board of Osteopathic Medicine and possession of a current certification to prescribe medication from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.
