Western States Oil is seeking a dedicated and experienced Class B Driver for wet hosing to join our team. This position involves delivering fuel to our customers using a commercial vehicle. The ideal candidate will have the necessary endorsements and certifications, as well as the ability to operate a pumping system, pump hoses, and hose reel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
We currently have openings for Service Professionals to work at our San Jose, CA yard! Are you passionate, motivated, and looking for a new opportunity? This is a customer service-oriented position in an active work environment.
- Safely deliver fuel to our commercial and industrial fleet customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
- Perform daily maintenance checks on company vehicles including pre/post-trip inspections
- Complete safety check on vehicle before pulling out the hose to dispense fuel
- Job requires to fuel multiple pcs of equipment. May require to climbing up and down various types of equipment.
- Operate a pumping system, pump hoses, and hose reel
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
- Sit for long periods and drive long distances
- Be punctual and reliable
- Provide excellent customer service
- Perform other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess a valid class B driver's license with Hazmat and Tank endorsements
- Hazmat endorsements required.
- TWIC card
- Ability to use a pumping system, pump hoses, and hose reel
- Must be able to pass physical, background check, and pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Comfortable working with technology and tech devices (iPad, smartphone, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Excellent driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Consistently able to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds throughout shift
- Capable of high-volume repetitive body motion of getting in and out of the vehicles, under various weather conditions
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs repeatedly throughout the shift
- Agility of hands and fingers to operate equipment such as fuel pump nozzles; constant pulling and reeling of hoses and equipment
HOURS / SCHEDULE
- Local routes, ensuring you are home daily
- Full-time / up to 12 hours per day
- Must be available to work full shift schedule and weekends when needed
- Available during holidays and prepared for seasonal weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.)
SALARY
- $35.00/hour plus overtime as available
- Pay determined based on license and experience
- Overtime after 40 hours per week
