We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shift Manager to lead our retail team through dynamic daily operations. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service standards.
- Lead and motivate team members by providing clear direction, training, and ongoing development opportunities.
- Manage employee scheduling, shift assignments, and payroll processing to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, POS systems, and financial transactions with accuracy and integrity.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and coordinate purchasing or merchandising efforts to meet sales goals.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a welcoming shopping environment.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures across your shift.
Experience
- Proven management experience within the retail industry or similar fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with a focus on team management, training & development, and leadership.
- Strong knowledge of retail sales strategies, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities are a plus for diverse customer engagement.
- Experience with budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and operational management is highly valued.
- Prior experience in grocery stores or wireless sales environments is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for retail math calculations such as pricing and sales analysis.
