Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Part-Time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supporting children with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. This rewarding role involves implementing evidence-based behavioral interventions to promote positive growth and independence. Duties
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and hygiene routines
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment plans
- Implement individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy protocols under supervision, ensuring consistency and fidelity
- Support educational goals by teaching new skills aligned with each client’s care plan and developmental needs
- Manage behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Communicate regularly with clients’ families and team members to update on progress, challenges, and next steps
- Maintain strict confidentiality of medical records and adhere to HIPAA regulations during all interactions
Requirements
- Experience working with children, especially those with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities
- Knowledge of special education principles, behavior management, and ABA therapy techniques
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support behavioral health needs effectively
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and medical records management
- Prior home-based behavioral experience is highly preferred, along with school or clinical experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum
- Strong client communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and ethical conduct in line with the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team in a home environment
