Duties
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility tasks to enhance independence.
- Implement treatment plans designed by occupational therapists, ensuring therapeutic goals are met effectively.
- Facilitate patient transport within healthcare facilities, ensuring safety during transfers and mobility exercises.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists to optimize patient care strategies.
- Maintain accurate care documentation, progress notes, and treatment records in accordance with facility policies and medical terminology standards.
- Utilize manual handling techniques and physiology knowledge to assist with patient positioning and therapeutic activities safely.

Experience
- Prior experience working in inpatient settings such as hospitals or skilled nursing facilities is preferred but we will consider a new graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program who has passed the NBCOT Exam and is licensed in the state to practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, or geriatrics enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Proven communication skills for engaging effectively with clients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams are essential for success.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and occupational health practices ensures adherence to safety standards and quality care delivery.

Pay: $30.50 - $42.25 per hour
