PART-TIME EVENING BUILDING CLEANERS – Starting at $15.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are seeking TWO trustworthy and dependable part-time building cleaners for our downtown Scranton location. At the same time, each applicant will be considered individually based on their qualifications, experience, and fit for the role.
Hours are M-F, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Hours can be flexible if later working hours are required. Each position will work no more than 20 hours per week. These positions will be responsible for cleaning some, but not all, areas of our ten-floor building. This includes some LVDA offices as well as tenant spaces.
Essential Functions
· Hand dust and wipe all furniture, filing cabinets, and other dust gathering objects in offices, bathrooms, and kitchen/cafeteria areas.
· Spot clean walls, doors, windowsills, baseboards, moldings, ledges, and wall areas to remove fingerprints, smudges and splash marks.
· Empty and clean all waste receptacles, replacing and neatly arranging liners.
· Remove cardboard recycling and dispose of in appropriate trash dumpster
· Thoroughly wash and clean all suite entrance doors and vestibule glass inside and out.
· Sweep and vacuum all entrance mats and spot clean as necessary.
· Dust, mop and spot clean all vinyl and similar types of flooring
· Vacuum all carpeting and rugs
· Sweep and wet mop bathroom floors with approved germicidal detergent
· Polish all mirrors
· Replenish toilet tissue, soap, sanitary napkins and towel dispensers
· Lock stairwells, turn off all lights and leave suites in a locked and secured manner with alarms activated.
Qualifications
· High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
· Previous experience in commercial cleaning preferred
· Excellent time management skills required
· Superior attention to detail required
· Ability to work independently and follow direction required
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
· Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time while cleaning floors, restroom and other areas
· Ability to stoop, bend, crouch or kneel to reach high or low places
· The ability to read and comprehend safety regulations and other documentation pertinent to the position.
