We here at Bliss are looking to hire 1 Kennel Technician Lead with 1 year or prior experience working for a dog daycare and boarding center. Job Type: Part-time (30-35 hours a week)
Hours Needed: Monday-Sunday 6:30am-12:30pm and 1:45pm-7:00pm

About Us:Bliss Pet Resort and Spa is Prosper’s first and only luxury dog boarding and doggy daycare center. We just completed a renovation to include beautiful new dog turf, new fencing, and a fancy bone shaped pool for the dogs! If you love animals and are willing to work hard and commit to providing excellent customer service to our guests and their owners.
Shifts vary between 4-6 hours and some days you may be asked to work two shifts with a one and a half hour lunch in between. (The first shift runs from 6:30-12:30pm and second shift is from 1:45-7:30 -the ideal candidate has the availability to work either shift.) Must be open to working all holidays and weekends as those are our busy times.
Daily tasks include:
-Providing supervision and guidance of our staff in yards with their play groups up to 15 -20 dogs
- Facilitating & leading our staff in daily care for dogs in boarding (including feeding, administering mediation, taking out for walks and potty breaks, among other tasks).
- Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs.
- Maintaining cleanliness of our play yards and facility.
- Minimizing the stress of the dogs in our care by providing effective management and being responsive to their needs.
- Maintaining accurate records and activity logs for care provided.
- Working as a member of a team in a fast paced environment by using effective communication skills.

The ideal candidate:
–has 1+ years experience in dog daycare and boarding facility
- supervisory experience of 1+ years
- is a high school graduate (or has their GED).
- has excellent written and oral communication skills.
- is self-motivated and can work independently.
- has a proven ability to follow instructions and learn new things.
- takes initiative on the job.
- is able and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and be on ones feet for long periods of time.
- has 2 years previous work experience demonstrating dependability.
$11.00 hour with performance review at 90 days
