What You’ll Do (AKA: Your Superpowers)
Design and Deliver Exceptional Experiences:
Help coordinate and support the Life Enrichment Director with implementing a variety of engaging programs including physical, cognitive, social, spiritual, and creative activities.
Follow the monthly calendar that reflects resident interests, promotes wellness, and celebrates community life.
Encourage participation and adapt activities to meet residents’ unique abilities and preferences.
Be the Heart of the Community:
Get to know residents on a personal level to ensure programs are meaningful, inclusive, and FUN!
Support residents in maintaining purpose, independence, and a sense of belonging.
Organize special events, outings, and intergenerational programs that bring joy and connection.
Support, Collaborate, & Communicate:
Support and inspire life enrichment team members and volunteers.
Partner with nursing, dietary, and teams to support with coordinating events and support holistic care.
Communicate with residents and families to promote involvement and celebrate community by direction given from the Life Enrichment Director.
What You Bring to the Table (Besides Great Ideas & Energy)
✔ Experience & Skills:
Previous experience in activities programming, or senior living preferred.
Strong organizational, creative planning, and event coordination skills.
Excellent communication and engaging personality.
✔ Physical Requirements:
Ability to lead activities, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents during programs and events.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally assist with mobility support during outings.
✔ Certifications:
Valid driver’s license required (for community outings).
Certification in Activities or Recreational Therapy is a plus, or willingness to obtain.
