Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate accredited Montessori guide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, an Infant/Toddler Montessori Teaching Credential, and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a peaceful, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills. The Montessori Lead Toddler Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging lessons and environmental designs that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Duties
- Lovingly prepare a Montessori inspired environment for toddlers ages 18-36 months
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lessons that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity.
- Teach foundational skills through interactive activities.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere for all students.
- Provide individualized support to children with special needs or varying learning abilities.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and development.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that is conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive educational experience across the curriculum.
Requirements
- Infant/Toddler Montessori Teaching Credential
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience working with infants and toddler in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and effective classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for nurturing children's growth and development in a supportive learning environment.
