Well established Construction Company in the Pompano Beach area is seeking a seasoned accountant to add to our team. Proven track record in the construction industry with attention to detail. This is an Onsite-full time position.
Qualifications:
· Construction industry experience a MUST with proven experience in similar role
· Timberline/Sage 300 Software a Plus
· Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
· PC proficiency
· Superior attention to detail with strong organizational skills
· Work well individually and as a team player
· Bi-Lingual a plus
Primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
· Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger
- Assist in recording journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Assist in performing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures
- Monthly AiA Billing, Quick bills
- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
· Utilize accounting software (such as Sage) to input and track financial data
· Ensure compliance with company policies and procedure
· Maintain confidentiality of financial information
· Maintain Change orders logs per job
· Job cost analyst
· Input Estimates in Job cost
· Maintain WIP
· Payroll (back-up only)
Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Proficiency in bank reconciliation and accounts payable management is essential.
- Strong skills in account reconciliation and double entry bookkeeping are necessary.
