We are looking for a nurse to join our team of experienced medical professionals in our respiratory department. In this pharmacy setting, our respiratory staff manage the care of patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, or oxygen therapy. They work with physician's offices and provide patient education on the use of these machines. They are also responsible for working with our billing team to determine patient eligibility and patient/insurance responsibility for payment. Our respiratory staff is responsible for dispensing supplies for these machines, managing inventory of equipment and supplies, and troubleshooting this equipment. They also are responsible for maintaining our compliance with Medicare for supplying these items.
Respiratory Therapy responsibilities include:
- Monitoring patient physiological responses to therapy
- Working as part of a team of health care professionals to manage patient care
- Setting up and operating devices
- Meets patient’s goals and needs and provides quality care
- Assess and interpret evaluations and test results
- Determine respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians
- Help patient accomplish treatment plan
- Evaluate effects of the respiratory therapy treatment plan
Requirements and Skills
- Proven work experience as a nurse in respiratory care or similar role
- Must possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance
- Strong knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation
- Experience with respiratory equipment
- Nursing degree
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
