Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Workstation Patching Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools to support enterprise workstation patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance across Windows environments. The resource will ensure timely, secure, and compliant patch deployment with minimal business impact.
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools.
- Experience with Windows workstation patching (OS and application-level).
- Knowledge of patch lifecycle management (assessment, testing, deployment, validation).
- Familiarity with Microsoft patching releases and maintenance cycles.
- Experience troubleshooting patch deployment failures and endpoint issues.
- Ability to work with endpoint compliance and vulnerability data.
- Working knowledge of Windows OS internals and workstation administration.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise endpoint environments.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools for incident, change, and reporting.
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell preferred) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 6+ years
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage and support workstation patching operations using enterprise SCM tools.
- Plan, test, and deploy OS and third‑party application patches across Windows endpoints.
- Perform patch validation, pilot rollouts, and phased deployments.
- Troubleshoot patch failures and resolve deployment issues.
- Coordinate patching activities with security, vulnerability, and operations teams.
- Ensure patch compliance aligned with security and audit requirements.
- Support vulnerability remediation initiatives driven by scanning tools.
- Maintain patching schedules, exceptions, and rollback procedures.
- Generate patch compliance and deployment status reports and metrics.
- Document patching procedures, runbooks, and standard operating processes.
