A Bios Youth Specialist provides therapeutic, loving care to a child living in his/her own home. A Bios Youth Specialist works in coordination with the Bios team and Department of Human Services to support the physical, social, emotional, educational, financial, and spiritual needs of the child receiving supports. This position performs the role of a parent/caregiver to create a family home environment. This position is an hourly position and reports directly to the Bios Child Support Program Manager.
This position works/lives 2 straight days on * in a home where the child lives* and is off for 4 straight days, on a rotating schedule each week.
Qualities:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Clear OSBI and national fingerprint clearance
- Pass Abuse and Sexual Offender Registry checks
- Have a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and clean driving record (MVR)
- Have positive professional and personal references.
- Have experience with children i.e., parent, foster care, caregiver.
- Have a stable work history.
- Have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of mobile apps, Microsoft products and web browsing
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to Bios as an organization, the child supported and toward maintaining the integrity of the organization.
- Demonstrate behavior, both on and off work, that is consistent with Bios Statement of Principles and Person Centered philosophy.
- Act as a role model in performing all duties and assignments.
- Strong work ethic.
- Positive and professionalism in manner, dress, attendance, and punctually.
- Demonstrate Bios philosophy in all interactions with children, teams, public and families.
