This position is split between baking, bakery management and time in our retail market (90/10). In baking, our farm focus is on fresh pies, cookies and fresh fruit oriented baked goods. Inventory control and ordering bakery supplies and related items will be part of the position. In our retail market, the main focus will be on our customers. Greet customers, serve them well and help them have a great experience while on our farm. Must be able to show up for work on time and be willing to do the job that's needed. Be willing to work and promote an atmosphere where we respect and encourage other employees. This job will require working with and displaying produce while learning about and sharing information about our products to our customers and other employees. Staff will be keeping areas of the market and bakery clean and well organized. Be willing to learn the changes that take place on our farm and in the market throughout the seasons. Be available to work without vacation from July 1st to November 30th the first year. Retail / baking experience is good but not necessary if you are an outgoing friendly person. Ours is a unique market and we are willing to train the right person. Basic math and excellent English communication skills are required. Minimum of a high school education required. Must be in good physical condition, lifting of 50lbs. is often required. Must have reliable transportation to the farm.
