About the Role
No two days will look alike. One morning you might be tracking down permit information for a construction project; by afternoon you're formatting a client proposal for a tech company, coordinating with an offshore team, or organizing compliance files for a healthcare operation.
We run a diverse portfolio of companies spanning multiple industries — and we're looking for a sharp, adaptable Administrative Assistant to help keep everything moving. This is a role for someone who thrives on variety, takes ownership of every task, and wants to grow into a more strategic business role over time. Past assistants who've joined us at this level have gone on to take on operations and project leadership responsibilities within the portfolio.
What You'll Do
- Provide administrative support across multiple companies and industries
- Chase down information, follow up with vendors, and keep projects moving forward
- Format, proofread, and prepare professional documents, reports, and presentations
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, and communications across business units
- Support leadership with research, data entry, and ad hoc business tasks
- Handle time-sensitive logistical tasks, including occasional hands-on errands that give you real operational exposure
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and pitch in wherever needed
- Learn each business from the ground up and take on increasing responsibility over time
Who You Are
- Collaborative and low-ego — you work hard, read situations well, and make the people around you better
- High grit — you don't quit when things get tough or tedious, and you take pride in finishing what you start
- Business-minded — you have a degree in business administration (or a related field), or comparable real-world experience, and you genuinely want to understand how businesses run
- A quick learner — you pick up new tools, systems, and industries fast, and ask great questions
- Highly adaptable — comfortable switching between high-level strategy and basic execution, and pivoting between very different industries in the same day
- Detail-oriented — nothing falls through the cracks on your watch
- Professional — strong written and verbal communication, polished demeanor with clients, vendors, and partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred, OR equivalent professional experience
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable learning new software
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Prior administrative, operations, or office support experience is a plus
- Exposure to any of our industries is a bonus, but not required
Why Join Us
- Rare breadth of exposure — working across multiple industries gives you an accelerated, MBA-style learning curve that most roles can't offer
- Real growth — direct access to leadership and a proven path to more strategic responsibilities within the portfolio
- A culture built on grit and continuous improvement — we value people who show up, keep going, and keep getting better
