Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of Asian fusion menus that highlight authentic flavors with creative twists
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to uphold high standards of quality and consistency
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
- Ensure compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures and maintain strict adherence to health regulations and sanitation standards
- Oversee dietary department needs, accommodating special dietary requests and allergy considerations with precision
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to foster teamwork, efficiency, and professional growth
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of exceptional dishes for large groups or special occasions
- Implement cost control measures while maintaining menu integrity and customer satisfaction
- Manage shift schedules effectively, balancing staffing needs with operational demands
- Uphold restaurant management responsibilities including food service management, customer service excellence, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
Qualifications
- Proven culinary experience with a strong background in Asian cuisine and fusion cooking techniques
- Demonstrated banquet experience and catering expertise in a high-volume setting
- Supervising experience leading kitchen teams in fast-paced environments such as fine dining or restaurant management
- Knowledge of food industry standards including inventory management, cost control, and food safety sanitizing procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment
- Experience in managing food production processes from menu planning to execution
- Familiarity with hospitality standards such as serving etiquette, bartending skills (preferred), and customer service excellence
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently
