Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Wire Cutter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role involves precise cutting and preparation of wire using a variety of tools and machinery. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced production setting.
Responsibilities
- Assists with staging orders to be cut to optimize utilization of tooling on daily basis.
- Assists with staging of components before setting up tooling to ensure that order can be run complete.
- Verifies blueprint to parts requisition form before cutting order.
- Selects cable and wire according to customer specifications including gauge, color, and U/L rating.
- Loads spools of wire weighing up to 70 lbs. on to cutting machine. Assistance is available for spools.
- Calibrates and adjusts settings on cutting machine to maintain tolerances specified by both customer and in house quality control
- Set up correct blades to be used in tooling.
- Checks completed material for conformance to specifications and overall appearance.
- Performs routine maintenance such as lubrication, blade changes and housekeeping at workstations.
- Assists in operating other equipment as needed to meet schedules of department.
- Assist in assembly processes when required, ensuring parts meet specifications for fit and finish.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge manufacturing processes
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret specifications.
- Familiarity with quality inspection tools like calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills in a manufacturing environment.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
