Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely following established safety protocols to ensure effective sanitation without hazards.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks using proper safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care techniques to preserve their appearance and longevity.
- Follow safety procedures consistently to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning activities or handling hazardous materials.
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums effectively.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety protocol adherence at all times.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
