We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team at the City Center Starbucks in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages while providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your expertise in coffee and commitment to customer satisfaction will help foster a welcoming atmosphere that keeps our patrons coming back.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
- Engage with customers to take orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining spaces.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to retail math principles.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods and provide support where needed.
- Uphold food safety standards and health regulations at all times.
- Continuously enhance knowledge of coffee products and brewing techniques to improve customer service quality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or retail environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly atmosphere for guests.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- A genuine passion for coffee and willingness to learn more about different brewing methods and coffee varieties.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including availability on weekends and holidays.
