Position Overview
Neuvera Brain Health Institute is seeking a skilled and compassionate EEG Technician to join our growing neurology practice. The EEG Technician will be responsible for performing routine and specialized electroencephalography (EEG) studies, ensuring high-quality recordings, maintaining patient safety and comfort, and supporting our neurologists in the evaluation of patients with epilepsy and other neurological conditions.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and a patient-centered approach. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with neurologists and other clinical team members in a professional outpatient environment focused on high-quality neurological care.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and extended EEG studies in accordance with established clinical protocols.

Prepare patients for EEG procedures, explain the examination process, and obtain appropriate patient cooperation.

Apply EEG electrodes accurately using the appropriate placement standards and maintain proper electrode integrity throughout the study.

Operate and monitor EEG equipment and recording systems to obtain high-quality diagnostic recordings.

Recognize and document relevant patient behaviors, clinical events, and seizure-like activity during EEG recordings.

Perform activation procedures such as hyperventilation and photic stimulation when clinically appropriate and permitted by protocol.

Monitor patients throughout the examination and promptly communicate significant clinical events or concerns to the supervising physician or clinical team.

Maintain patient safety, privacy, dignity, and comfort throughout all procedures.

Review recordings for technical quality and troubleshoot artifacts or equipment issues when necessary.

Prepare and organize EEG data for physician interpretation.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record and EEG system.

Clean, disinfect, and maintain EEG equipment and supplies according to infection-control procedures.

Ensure EEG rooms and equipment are properly prepared between patients.

Follow applicable clinical, safety, infection-control, and regulatory standards.

Collaborate closely with neurologists, medical assistants, nurses, and administrative staff.

Support efficient clinic workflows and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications & Skills

Completion of an accredited EEG or neurodiagnostic technology program preferred.
-
Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) credential through ABRET preferred or required based on experience and applicable practice requirements.

Current BLS certification.

Previous experience performing EEG studies in a hospital, epilepsy center, neurology practice, or outpatient setting.

Knowledge of EEG acquisition, electrode placement, common artifacts, and basic EEG terminology.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate technical documentation.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to interact compassionately and professionally with patients and families.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Comfortable working with electronic medical records and computerized EEG systems.

Preferred Experience
Experience with the following is highly desirable:

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting Neuvera's epilepsy and neurological services and will work closely with our physicians to provide patients with an exceptional clinical experience
Benefits

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM ( Full Time)

Compensation: $95,000 - $120,000 annually
- Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
