ROLE AND PURPOSE: Perform various instructional materials warehouse duties including, but not limited to: driving trucks, making deliveries, filling orders, loading/unloading trucks, and taking inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification:
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Valid Texas drivers' license with a satisfactory driving record
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficiency in all general office skills
- Computer skills to include knowledge of office software
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure of deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to operate warehouse equipment, including but not limited to fork lift, pallet jacks and picker.
- Able to drive a large box truck
- Must be physically able to lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Supports the instructional material inventory program for the district, including entering requisitions, pick tickets, inventories, transfers, filing and responding to campus requests;
- Supports the Instructional Material warehouse in receiving and shipping of materials from and to vendors and the campuses;
- Assists Instructional Materials Employees in delivery and pickup of instructional materials from locations in the district;
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Coordinator of Instructional Materials and the Director of Information and Instructional Systems.
