JOB DESCRIPTION
1st SHIFT HOURS 8:30 AM – MON-FRI, UNTIL FINISHED.
The Seat Assembly Operator is responsible for participating as a Team Member in the manufacturing of quality products with minimal cost for scrap and re-work and with minimal delay by the use of inspection, knowledge of the product and processes, and sound judgment.
Duties

Complete assembly of automotive seating units while maintaining good housekeeping, safety, quality and efficiency standards.

Performs line assembly and/or support operations to mass produce automotive seating units in accordance with specifications.

Builds parts in a specified manner according to the Operator Description Sheets

Develop proficiency in all production job functions and rotate in job cell into various workstations

Control processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected

Restock work areas as needed to ensure proper workflow

Monitor production material quantities and report shortages

Ability to lift and/or carry seating components frequently (Lift assist devices are provided).

Complete, assembly of quality seating units

Walk, stand, reach, lift, bend, pull, push to move product through build process

Use of hand-held pneumatic tools, torque guns, ergonomic arms and other equipment to perform operations on the assembly line

Bolts, clips, screws, or otherwise fastens parts together

Operation of assembly fixtures
-
Ability to lift 25 lbs, and stand for at least 2 hours at a time.

Problem solving of workplace issues

Quality inspections of work in progress
