This role establishes centralized ownership of product management at Meeder, bringing structure and accountability to a function that is currently dispersed across the organization. The individual will own the full product lifecycle by defining and managing the product offering, leading implementation and cross-functional execution, and driving competitive positioning and sales enablement in close partnership with distribution to ensure products not only reach market but are effectively sold. In the short term, the focus is on building a disciplined product framework, prioritizing key initiatives, and aligning stakeholders; over the long term, the role is accountable for scaling a high-impact product function that drives revenue growth, strengthens market differentiation, and may evolve to include team leadership. This is an individual contributor position with the expectation of leveraging resources within the Advisor Consulting organization to support execution as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle across all vehicles (mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, models), translating leadership decisions into executable plans that bring products to market and ensure ongoing competitiveness.
- Drive product implementation by coordinating key components such as AP agreements, platform access, pricing strategy, competitive set definition, and alignment with distribution goals.
- Analyze competitive products and market trends on an ongoing basis, synthesizing insights from the field, conferences, and data analysis to inform positioning and equip the sales team with actionable intelligence.
- Partner closely with distribution to evaluate advisor portfolios and grids, identifying allocation gaps and positioning Meeder strategies to enhance client outcomes and increase sales effectiveness.
- Develop clear, compelling positioning and go-to-market playbooks for existing strategies, ensuring each product has a defined target audience, competitive narrative, and model placement strategy.
- Assess new product opportunities by analyzing market demand, distribution viability, and strategic fit, and lead the development of high-potential ideas from concept through launch.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts across investments, legal, operations, marketing, and Advisor Consulting to move product initiatives forward efficiently and resolve execution barriers.
- Support the evolution of a centralized product function by establishing repeatable processes, driving prioritization, and leveraging internal resources to scale impact over time.
