Minimum Qualifications:

Must be enrolled as a student at UNM-Taos (or approved partner institution)

Must be an active participant in the LISTOS program

Must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours during the summer term (tuition supported by the LISTOS grant)

Must meet all University student employment eligibility requirements
Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework or interest in natural resource management, biology, environmental science, or related fields

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work in outdoor and/or field-based environments

Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours in the Fall semester
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties will vary based on internship placement and host needs but may include:

Assisting with fieldwork such as data collection, monitoring, and resource management activities

Supporting administrative or technical tasks, including data entry and reporting

Participating in training and professional development activities

Communicating and collaborating with supervisors and team members
-
Adhering to safety guidelines, policies, and procedures of the host organization
Working Conditions:
Work may be performed in office and/or outdoor environments. Positions may require physical activity, exposure to variable weather conditions, and travel to field locations, depending on assignment.
Supervision:
Student employees will receive direct supervision from the assigned internship host, with programmatic oversight provided by the LISTOS Program.
Conditions of Employment:

Continued eligibility is contingent upon active participation in the LISTOS program

Employment is temporary and based on program funding and host availability
Position may extend beyond the summer term based on host work availability and continued participation in the LISTOS program at UNM-Taos
