Huntingdon Valley law firm seeks organized, detail-oriented, individual for Personal Injury Paralegal/Legal Assistant position to assist multiple attorneys. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support attorneys through all phases of litigation, ensuring smooth case progression from initial client contact through settlement negotiations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The workload will consist of 3/4 Plaintiff’s PI and a mix of other litigation and miscellaneous matters.
Responsibilities:
· Assist attorneys with case intake, including interviewing clients and gathering initial documentation related to their personal injury claims.
· Communicate regularly with clients to gather information on injuries and treatment.
· Obtain and organize medical records, billing documentation, and related materials to support damages claims.
· Manage and organize case files using case management systems such as Clio, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
· Identify and evaluate applicable insurance coverage and liens.
· Review and draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence.
· Prepare cases for settlement, mediation, arbitration, and trial, including exhibit binders.
· Coordinate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel via phone and email to facilitate case progress.
· Maintain meticulous records of all case activities, correspondence, deadlines and relevant documentation in accordance with firm protocols.
· Support attorneys with administrative tasks such as filing, proofreading legal documents, and managing calendar for court deadlines.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in Plaintiff’s Personal Injury preferred, with hands-on knowledge of both pre-litigation and litigation case management.
· Familiarity with legal procedures in Pennsylvania, specifically Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks counties, is required. Familiarity with surrounding counties is a plus, but not a requirement.
· Familiarity with legal procedures in New Jersey is a plus, but not a requirement.
· Proficiency with Microsoft 365 with ability to quickly learn new legal technology.
· Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong time management and follow-through skills.
· Demonstrated commitment to client service.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
