Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing for multiple Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facilities across the state of NJ . The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing management expertise, particularly within a nursing home environment. This leadership role involves overseeing nursing operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining high standards of resident care. The Director of Nursing will play a critical role in fostering a collaborative team environment and ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient-centered services. Candidates with strong management skills, proficiency in EMR/EHR systems, and comprehensive knowledge of Medicare and HIPAA regulations are highly preferred.
Duties
- Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure quality resident care across all shifts, including shift management and scheduling.
- Develop, implement, and review care plans tailored to individual resident needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Oversee the documentation review process, including medical records, care documentation, and regulatory reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the Resident's <PERSON>;, MDS assessments, and coordinate interdisciplinary team efforts for optimal resident outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of all medical records and sensitive information.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively for documentation, reporting, and communication within the healthcare team.
- Maintain compliance with Medicare requirements and other regulatory standards governing long-term care facilities.
- Provide leadership in quality assurance initiatives, staff training, and ongoing professional development to foster a compliant and efficient nursing department.
- Collaborate with administration on operational planning, budget management, and strategic initiatives related to nursing services.
- Promote a culture of safety, compassion, and excellence in resident care while supervising day-to-day nursing activities.
Experience
- Proven management experience within a nursing home setting.
- Extensive background in nursing administration with supervising experience in clinical environments such as acute care or long-term care settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in nurse management including staffing, shift management, and leadership roles overseeing multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and medical terminology relevant to long-term care operations.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical records documentation review, and care plan development.
- Familiarity with Medicare regulations, HIPAA compliance standards, and healthcare documentation protocols.
- Leadership skills that inspire teamwork while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence; ability to manage complex situations effectively. Pay: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
