Position: Customer Serrvice/Sales Specialist - Automotive Parts

Job Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for maintaining productive relationships with the company's existing customers from a sales and service perspective. Works closely with all departments to resolve customer issues and facilitate related activities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Act as primary sales communication window for customers, respond to customer inquiries and complaints, follow up on accounts receivables, and understand customer needs
- - be the voice of the customer internally, driving internal actions.

Work closely with quality, engineering, accounting and other internal departments to resolve customer issues and other commercial related decisions/activities.

Understand the core principles and essential concepts behind Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).

Understand the integration of APQP/PPAP with core quality tools like QFD, FMEA, and Control Plans.

Learn to identify APQP/PPAP methodologies in new product development, aligning practices with industry standards.

Recognize the specific roles and contributions within an organization concerning APQP and PPAP adherence.

Maintain and develop relationships by understanding customer current and future needs.

Prepare quotations and commercial price negotiations with management direction and strategy, based on incoming RFQ’s/online portals, ensure customer requirements concur with negotiated delivery dates, and are aligned with customer service firm and forecasted information.

Follow customer changes while facilitating price negotiations and assisting customer service with volumes, forecasting, critical delivery issues, etc.

Plan customer visits, both current and potential to manage needs and expectations.

Prepare and compile sales-related data (sales, sales plans, etc.) and customer submission materials (presentations, etc.)

Market research as needed to identify new customers, industry trends, competitive analysis, etc. Market knowledge of automotive and residential A/C markets a plus.

Qualifications:

Education: Prefer Degree in a related Engineering/Technical field

Experience: 4- 5 years’ experience in automotive parts manufacturing industry sales, material control and/or purchasing functions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ERP knowledge, Six Sigma processes.
