We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and clinically strong Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who is passionate about providing high-quality psychiatric care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients.
Position Summary
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment for patients through a telehealth-based outpatient practice. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, organized, patient-centered, and committed to delivering thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up appointments.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders using evidence-based practices.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's clinical needs.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications safely and appropriately.
- Monitor treatment response and adjust care plans as clinically indicated.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment recommendations.
- Complete accurate, timely, and thorough documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable HIPAA, DEA, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative clinical environment.
- Maintain professionalism and provide exceptional patient care at every encounter.
QualificationsRequired
- Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license
- DEA Registration (or ability to obtain before start date)
- Strong diagnostic and psychopharmacology skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable providing psychiatric care through telehealth
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and technology
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
Preferred
- Experience in outpatient psychiatry
- Experience treating anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD, insomnia, and related psychiatric conditions
- Multiple state licenses are a plus
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
