Job Summary:
As an Estimator, you play a crucial role in the management and success of our disaster restoration and reconstruction projects. Your responsibilities encompass overseeing the project cycle, directing and coordinating field activities alongside installation teams and subcontractors, and ensuring seamless collaboration with key team members. You are vital in estimating losses, managing reconstruction projects, and contributing to new business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize Xactimate software to accurately estimate restoration projects, including water, fire, wind, mold, environmental and other damages.
- Work in tandem with the other team members to ensure precise and efficient project estimations and management.
- Provide prompt responses to emergency property damage calls, reflecting the urgency and professionalism our clients expect.
- Lead in the negotiation of restoration services and insurance claim settlements, representing the Company's interests and ensuring fair outcomes.
- Plan, organize, and manage crews and subcontractors, coordinating closely with the Superintendent to ensure project efficiency and quality.
- Engage in the design, process, and permit submissions, ensuring all aspects of the project adhere to regulatory and company standards.
- Actively contribute to achieving company sales goals through strong client relationships and effective communication.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience as a project manager preferably in the construction/restoration industry with at least 3 years’ experience with project estimation with Xactimate.
- General knowledge of the industry and/or product channel or the ability to quickly learn.
- Proven sales track record.
- Must have knowledge of both residential and commercial reconstruction experience.
- Ability to manage budgets and schedules.
- Possess exceptional organizational and planning skills (detailed oriented person).
- Ability to recognize and solve problems independently.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and accountable.
- Must be able to pass a background check and have a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
- Must use personal protective equipment, having the ability to stand or walk, occasionally bending, squatting, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
