Driver Job Description
Position Title: Driver / Warehouse Support
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Position Summary
The Driver / Warehouse Support is responsible for the safe transportation of materials, generators, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites, vendors, and company facilities. This position requires both CDL and non-CDL driving duties. When not performing driving assignments, the employee will assist with warehouse operations, equipment preparation, shop maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Driving & Transportation
- Safely operate company vehicles, including CDL and non-CDL vehicles, in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Deliver and pick up electrical materials, generators, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Transport equipment to and from customer locations, job sites, vendors, and company facilities.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and required DOT documentation.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured and transported safely.
Loading & Unloading
- Load and unload generators, electrical equipment, materials, tools, and supplies.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Verify materials and equipment against delivery tickets and packing slips.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining warehouse inventory.
Warehouse Support
- Assist technicians and warehouse personnel with preparing materials and equipment for upcoming jobs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop, warehouse, and yard area.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, trailers, generators, and equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and material organization.
- Support other departments as needed during downtime.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- CDL Class A license preferred (or ability to obtain).
- Clean driving record.
- Forklift certification preferred (we can train).
- Basic knowledge of electrical construction materials and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, and material handling equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to load, unload, push, pull, and move equipment and materials.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.

Working Conditions

- Occasional overtime, early mornings, evenings, and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
Pay: $25.46 - $30.67 per hour
