FRONT OFFICE/PATIENT COORDINATOR Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Front Office / Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. No Dental experience required - will train the right candidate.

Core responsibilities: Patient hospitality: Greet patients warmly, check them in, and ensure a smooth, welcoming flow through the office.
Schedule management: Manage the daily appointment book, answer incoming calls, and make outbound confirmation calls and texts using our software system.
Financial integrity: Collect patient co-pays, handle daily financial transactions, and process weekly patient statements using our straightforward dental software.
System maintenance: Consistently follow the office systems, maintain organized digital records, and complete daily tasks accurately within your scheduled shift.

Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and efficient check-in process.
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, and responding to inquiries promptly.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and assist with billing procedures such as medical collection processes
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR); review documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA policies.
- Assist with dental coding tasks and ensure proper documentation review for billing accuracy.
- Handle medical administrative support functions such as filing, data entry, appointment scheduling, and managing patient records while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate care plans and ensure smooth patient flow within the clinic environment.
- Demonstrate strong computer skills for efficient office management.
- Support billing processes by understanding medical billing procedures and health information management standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized front office environment while managing office equipment like multi-line phones and filing systems.
Experience
- Prior clinic or medical office experience is appreciated, but we will train the right candidate.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, and experience with dental coding and billing processes will be highly valued.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with clerical experience in a fast-paced environment are critical for success in this role.
- Familiarity with dental clinic operations enhances your candidacy.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and health information management are important qualities for this position.
