Position Overview:
As a Solar Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and driving the adoption of solar energy solutions. You’ll be responsible for identifying new leads, meeting with potential clients, and guiding them through the sales process—from initial consultation to closing the deal. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative, fast-paced environment while helping people transition to clean energy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential clients in the residential and commercial sectors
- Conduct in-home or virtual consultations to assess energy needs and provide solar solutions
- Build and maintain relationships with leads and existing customers
- Prepare and present customized solar proposals
- Educate customers on the benefits of solar energy and available financing options
- Close sales and meet monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Stay current on solar energy trends, products, and industry best practices
- Collaborate with the installation and operations teams to ensure smooth project handoffs
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process and post-installation
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, preferably in solar, energy, or home improvement
- Strong understanding of solar energy and related technologies is a plus
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to succeed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable with technology, including CRM software and Microsoft Office
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
