We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Level 3 & 4 Security Officer to join our dynamic security team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive surveillance using CCTV systems, access control systems, and manual patrols to monitor premises continuously.
- Conduct thorough background checks on personnel and visitors to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Manage access control procedures, verifying identities and authorizations for entry and exit points.
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations by executing established emergency response procedures, including fire safety, first aid, CPR, AED operation, and conflict de-escalation tactics.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities for review and follow-up.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring external assistance.
- Perform physical security tasks such as heavy lifting, manual handling, and maintaining secure perimeters through patrolling and loss prevention measures.
- Utilize specialized equipment like Tasers, firearms (where legally permitted), CCTV cameras, and other security tools to uphold safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with visitors professionally while enforcing security policies firmly but courteously.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and pass a standard physical fitness assessment to be able to perform all duties required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles at Level 3 or 4 with demonstrated expertise in surveillance, law enforcement collaboration, and incident management.
- Valid certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, Taser use (if applicable), firearm handling (where permitted), and conflict management.
- Strong knowledge of emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols and compliance with security regulations.
- Ability to perform background checks accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills for writing clear incident reports and interacting effectively with team members and the public.
- Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, patrolling duties, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, access control systems, CCTV monitoring software, and loss prevention techniques is essential.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to de-escalate conflicts calmly while ensuring safety for all parties involved.
